“Pre-Party”: Ride to the Rendezvous
The 79th annual 49r Days begins the week before the parade with the “Ride to Rendezvous”. This Wagon ride begins with the 3 day backcountry trek into Winthrop. Over 100 people ride into Winthrop on wagons and horses through some of Washington States most beautiful country, just in time to start the party. Friday
Catch the backcountry troop as they arrive in downtown Winthrop on Friday May 10th, at High Noon.
Saturday: Parade
At 10am the parade begins with a dance performance by “West Coast Country Heat”, for the 26th year in a row.
Parade begins at 11am followed by games (egg toss, gummy spitting, pie eating and more) , vendors, a mechanical bull, and the first annual “Firetruck Pull” fundraiser. Where teams of 10 will try their hand at pulling a Vintage Firetruck.
Saturday: Barn Dance
The party moves to mack Lloyd Park where WOGA hosts a mountain man camp with displays, vendors, music, and a BBQ from Winthrop Kiwanis.
A cowboy Steak dinner is available to fuel you for line dancing lessons at 6pm before the Family Barn dance kicks off from 7-11pm at the Winthrop Barn Auditorium.
Sunday “After Party”
Recover from Saturday with a cowboy breakfast hosted by WOGA, and watch some packing demonstrations on live animals.
8-10am Cowboy Breakfast at the Winthrop Barn, $10.
10am Live Auction and packing demonstrations.
