Karen

Last spring we needed a quick getaway. My husband and I were only able to get away for just one night and wanted to take our dog Bear with us. I started looking on TripAdvisor for some place close by that was dog friendly. Winthrop sure is that. We had only been over the North Cascade Highway once before but never stayed in Winthrop or Twisp. Wow what a beautiful drive and a beautiful place just over the mountains. We stayed at AbbyCreek Inn. Very nice. I think everyone there had a dog with them, very cool, dog owners understand that well.

We were even able to have dinner with our dog on the porch of The Methow Valley Ciderhouse. It was so much fun. Good cider to.

The next morning we had breakfast on the porch of 3 Bears Cafe & Quilts very good. We went to the gas station convenient store for things to drink my husband was standing outside with Bear and the cashier told him to come in too even with our dog. Everyone in town was so nice . They made us so comfortable.

We got to check out Pearrygin Lake State Park and Falls Creek Falls. Took easy walks at both. So relaxing the rivers flowing through town make it a little paradise at the edge of the mountains. We will be back and stay a little longer.”
