CHRISTMAS AT THE END OF THE ROAD

Welcome winter with a weekend of holiday shopping and celebrations in the Methow Valley.

Come enjoy an old-fashioned cowboy Christmas with local shopping, dining, outdoor ice skating, carriage rides, chainsaw carving, caroling, and a spectacular fireworks to end the weekend!

Schedule of events:

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26th:

9am- Turkey Trot (Park Run) at the Methow Trails lot, 21 Horizon Flats Rd.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27th:

All Day: Local shops, Visitor’s Information Center. Winthrop Ice Rink Skate with Santa! Check with the individual business for hours.

4pm-7pm: Mistletoe Madness brings the magic of the holiday season to Twisp’s streets, with a shopping extravaganza. Shops will be adorned with holiday decorations and brimming with special discounts and offers.

10am – 5pm: Winthrop’s downtown Visitor Information Center, 45 State Rte 20, will be open for answering questions. Local shops will be open for shopping. *Check individual business hours.

10am-4pm: The Shafer Museum will be open with holiday decorations, a fire outside, and a children’s scavenger hunt for the holidays.

5:30pm-7:30pm: Ice Skating with Santa at the Winthrop Rink. Head to our enchanting outdoor ice rink in town for a magical evening on ice with Santa!

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28th:

All Day: Local shops, Visitor’s Information Center, and the Winthrop Ice Rink. Check with the individual business for hours.

10am-4pm: The Shafer Museum will be open with holiday decorations, a fire outside plus a children’s scavenger hunt for the holidays.

1pm-4pm: Family Winter Fest, located at the Winthrop Red Barn. Includes Santa photos, hot chocolate, hot dogs, and other treats hosted by the Winthrop Kiwanis. Horse Drawn Carriage Rides from the Red Barn to Downtown Winthrop with Darwood Outfitting.

3pm: Campfires on Riverside Ave from the Methow Valley Snowmobile Association and the Winthrop Booster Club will be selling food, and treats on Riverside Ave.

5pm: Town lighting. All of the shops in town will turn on their lights on Riverside Ave to begin the holiday season.

5:05pm: Choir performance and caroling with Cascadia Music at Town Hall.

6pm: Enjoy the magic in the air with a spectacular winter fireworks show that will light up the whole town! Watch the town dazzle with an epic fireworks display, viewable from downtown Winthrop.
