An Evening of Music with John Stowell and Kit Garoutte

Cascadia Music and Friends of the Winthrop Library join forces to bring you the guitar duo of Kit Garoutte and John Stowell. As described by Don Campbell in Gorge Magazine, “Kit is a musician’s musician, one who has carved a musical path to playing what’s in his heart. His fingers are deft and agile, and he plays what the song requires – not his ego – with soulful self-assurance.” John has performed and taught internationally, including as part of the first American jazz ensemble in 40 years to visit Cold War-era USSR in the 1980’s. Together they present an intricate and enjoyable performance.
