The town of Winthrop is home to the Winthrop Rink, an outdoor ice rink in the winter and outdoor roller rink in the summer that provides open roller skating. Public roller skating is held primarily in the evenings at the rink.
The Rink has skates and blades that can be rented, as well as helmets and pads that can be checked out for free. There is indoor, upstairs seating for those that would like to watch their family and friends skate, in addition to a private room that can be rented for birthday parties.

All ages drop in Roller/Inline Skating two nights a week- Friday, and Saturday from 6-9 pm. Rent traditional roller skates or try the new fleet of inline skates. Helmets and elbow/knee/wrist pads are available and free to use. We have a concrete slab bounded by shoulder height walls that make up the NHL sized ice rink. Skate to your hearts delight while grooving to some hip tunes! We also offer ‘Teen Skating Nights’ and ever popular “Kids (12 & up) Skate Free Night”. See details for each program below.

Age Requirements: All participants are welcome. Kids 10&U need adult accompaniment.
