Methow Valley Home Center association operates the Methow Valley’s only, local, non-profit adult family homes. Jamie’s Place opened in 2007; Mountain View opened in 2009 to serve our community Elders, and their families to remain in the Methow Valley near friends and family. Our mission is to offer home for the Elders in which they may thrive, enjoy life with family, and navigate elder hood in a positive environment with caring staff to empower each and every one’s abilities. Family and community are encouraged to participate in life at Jamie’s Place and Mountain View. Visit our website for additional information.

Longtime Methow Valley resident, Jamie Finlan gifted her estate to The Cove – Foodbank with the intention of creating a project for her beloved Methow Valley. The Cove envisioned a care facility for local elders, so that they could remain near family and friends. Our first home, Jamie’s Place, opened in February 2007. Our second home, Mountain View, located on the same property, opened in February 2009. In 2013 the Methow Valley Family Home Center Association was established and is the non-profit organization operating as “Jamie’s Place” (which includes both of our adult family homes). We invite you to view our video to see and hear the story of bringing a home with a heart to elders in the Methow Valley.

Jamie’s Place is unique: a meaningful life Within a thriving community

Aging can mean isolation – either alone at home or alone in an impersonal institution. The growing aging population in this rural setting deserves an affordable community-based alternative to institutional care. Jamie’s Place offers a real home to age and continue to develop and thrive, providing care for elders in an engaged community setting.
