Fly In The Winthrop Hot Air Balloon Roundup With Seattle Ballooning
Seattle Ballooning is an award-winning hot air balloon company based in Seattle, Washington, and provides hot air balloon rides during the Winthrop Hot Air Balloon Roundup. The balloon event takes place the 1st weekend of March with a dozen or so hot air balloon pilots from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho participating in the event. You’ll want to also attend the balloon glow in downtown Winthrop on Saturday night (it’s a stunning visual display). Seattle Ballooning participates and inflates a historic antique hot air balloon from 1965 for the crowd. It’s very cool!

Fly Next To The Snow-Capped Mountains In Winthrop Washington
Any time you get the opportunity to fly in a balloon, it is incredible. However, flying next to dozens of other brightly covered hot air balloons in the snow-covered Methow Valley is an extraordinary experience. You’ll have the opportunity to fly at treetop over the river, watch deer frolic through the snow, and experience red-tailed hawks and bald eagles from the sky. There are many fun winter activities in Winthrop, but we believe in the heart of winter that ballooning is the best! The hot air balloon launch takes place at 7 am from the parking lot behind the Winthrop Inn. Guests have two options when attending the hot air balloon event.
