Adventure is in the air with a certain western flare
In the 78th year the Winthrop Washington’s ’49er Days is a celebration of our rich western history. The event starts with the annual Ride the Rendezvous, a week-long horse-packing excursion through the Methow Valley high country. As the horse train enters Winthrop on the final day, the community comes out to celebrate its arrival back home. A highlight of the ’49er Day is the Parade. Going through the main street with more pack strings than any parade in the state, plenty of horses, floats, a band, old-time vehicles, and much more. It is free to join and view the parade!
This year after the parade is the first annual Firetruck Pull. Gather your team of 10 and raise $500 to be able to participate. Awards will go to best costumes and fastest pulling time!
